Why moui?

Organizations love collecting data, so much that they do it sometimes without telling you. In spite of that, self-reported data is still using ancient technologies that do not leverage the cultural devices of these days.

So imagine your users on Instagram and TikTok, previewing tenths of videos per minute, skipping through content until they find something interesting. They don’t want boring, they want dopamine.

And they are not to blame. We created complex questionnaires, invented categories, and labels, and decided mediocre interactions were good enough.

But these are different times, and they pose both challenges and possibilities. We’ve got users who dislike the boxes that were forced upon them, who freak out about data ownership, who need relevant questions that confront them. We’ve got mobile phones and with them new affordances that let us redefine those meanings: research and enquiring in a way that honors our human need for experiences; for newer and older generations value them more than money.

This is the time to do things differently. We are creating moui to help orchestrate human interactions. Simple interfaces that delight users, and that ultimately, will give us insights for the road ahead.
